Will copper products tarnish or show fingerprints?

Copper works items such as sinks and countertops are typically created in a, “living finish” meaning that they are not coated with a sealant. Sealants work fine of items such as range hoods, if you are trying to lock in a specific color on an interior item. “Living Finish” items are quite easy to take care of. Copper is by nature an anti-bacterial thus killing most bacteria within hours. Fingerprints will not show up.

How do I polish Copper products?

Although plenty of commercial copper polishes are available, we recommend Bar Keepers Friend which works very well.

Are all of your products available to the public?

We produce custom pieces - copper works of art. We also manufacture products for private and professional settings, exclusively designed and manufactured.

Does copper cookware need a lining?

Copper is a metal, and can react with heat, food acids, high moisture, and exposure. Over time, these can erode the surface if not protected by a nickel or tin coating. The amount of copper it would take to adversely affect someone’s health is much, much more than you would ever get from drinking from an unlined cup or whipping meringue in an unlined bowl. A skillet, stewpot, etc used daily would need a lining. Traditionally, copper products like cookie-cutters, whisk bowls and most serving type vessels are not lined. Copper needs only to be lined if used continuously under conditions involving acidic foods, high heat, and long time exposure. Due to the relatively high cost of hand tinning copperware, our products are lined by special order only.
